During August lockdown 2020, Steelmart International Ltd and Jackfield Tubes Ltd were privileged to receive a visit from local MP Mr Phillip Dunne of the Ludlow Constituency (centre).

Mr Dunne became aware of Steelmart after communication between local councillor Mr Simon Harris (right) and Steelmart Director Mr Jim Dorman (Left).

Mr Dorman was in contact with Mr. Harris regarding Central Government Grant Funding, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Steelmart International Ltd and Jackfield Tubes Ltd were originally not eligible for funding but due to the Grant Extension Scheme, which was helped to be put in place by Mr Dunne, Jackfield Tubes Ltd were successful.

Mr Dunne was impressed with the efforts that both Steelmart International Ltd and Jackfield Tubes Ltd were making during the covid-19 crisis, especially Steelmart International Ltd had managed to bring in and commission a brand new box profile roll forming machine during the period, which he took particular interest in.
